How may skill points do we get ?
HI,
Just a quick question how many skill buy points can i recieve throught my levels? Because i wanna learn all warrior/elementalist skills i find but i'm worried that i might not have enough at level 20 to purchase all my warrior skills. |

Its not that hard to grind new skill points out at level twenty, afaik it doesnt get harder either. I didnt buy all the skills and had nearly 20 skill points (inc a spread of my two professions) but when i deliberately bought *all* my skills from iron mines back to amnoon, I was 1 skill point short.
Jus buy what youre gonna use but you dont need to be that conservative. |

i think he was talking about Skill Points... not Attribute Points...
but.... i don know the exact answer.... but if u really want to have all the skills for ur character... just do all the skill giving quests... then after u have finished all those... go buy ur skills.... i was told there is a total of 150 skills per character ( 75 skill primary, 75 secondary ) ... i'm not sure of this ... but there are a lot of skills nonetheless |

You get 170 when you reach lvl 20. There are two quests post ascension, each one gives you 15 attribute points.
PvP Characters have 200 points. |

2 posts just above yours mentioned that attribute points and skill points are different, and we're talking about skill points. You know, the things you use to buy SKILLS. |

So, even though you don't technically level past 20, you still get attribute points when you get experience? Or am I totally off base here? If it's 10 attribute points per level(which I doubt, earlier levels gave me 5), then I see the cap at 200. |

Is it really that hard to understand? This thread is about SKILL POINTS (the points you use when you go to buy a skill) Not ATTRIBUTE POINTS (points you use when you are making your character better at strength, tactics, blood magic, etc.) But to answer the question the original posted asked....I really have no idea.. |

Yes, when you reach level 20, you still have that experience bar, and it fills up just like before, and every time you fill it completely, you get another skill point, although you remain level 20. So you kinda continue to "level" without actually "leveling". You can eventually learn all the skills in the game. Since no one can use more than eight at a time, this doesn't make you any more powerful. It does, however, make you more flexible. Thus, newbies can still compete with you when they reach level 20, but you haven't actually run out of ways to improve your character when you reach level 20. Best of both worlds...

Well first to all the people taht talked about attribute points:
OMG IS IT THAT HARD... READ BEFORE YOU POST ... jeez --- I was also wondering about the skill points because i just started buying (still have like 12 of them so enough), but as i read you get them each time you "level" after reaching lvl 20... Just like with the refund points (1 point every 250 xp)... This is neat because that makes you able to totally go the other way with a character... |

wait wait wait
so SKILL points can be gained through 'lvling/filling up xp bar' AFTER lvl 20? i was under the impression (from other threads) that skills couldn't be gained after lvl 20, only attribute refunds. need a clarification on this one.... |

you can also get the majority with quests which allows you to save skill points for buying that skill you really want but couldnt find the quest for, if not available from quest or skill trainer you can use a Signet of Capture (which costs 1 skill point and some gold) to get it from a boss who is using that skill |

one more thing
after lvl 20, does the amount of xp needed to fill the xp bar increase or does it stay the same after lvlving over and over. |

Even if there are as many skill points as there are skills, you'll have to redeem them through Sigs of capture, I would think, since the cost to purchase could get prohibitive.

There is really no limit, you could technically get all the skills your primary and secondary profession has. Since you can level up as many times after your level 20.

I think it is a static amount. Personally, I have almost all of the skills I want, and still like 10 coming from only my current quests, with about 22 skill points to spend even after purchasing a few, with a couple of levels to go, and alot more missions, I can't see this as much of a problem one way or another.
